Meet the new boss, it’s the same as the old boss. The American Revival was born from solo artist Brandon Callies.
Callies has enjoyed regional success in his solo career, has released multiple records, and March 26th is Brandon Callies Day in the band’s hometown of Austin, Texas. In 2016, Callies brought in Lead Guitarist/Vocalist Ryan Holley, Drummer Joe Devadanam, and Bassist/vocalist Don Denham to round out his band who are all veterans of the Austin Music Scene who have backed up prominent artists in the region.
It was from there that the band decided to be called Brandon Callies & The American Revival, and the band hit the road. After their touring season, the band decided that they would forge on as The American Revival and have released their first two singles, “On My Way” and “whiskey kisses.” The American Revival will be releasing more new music in 2019 off their new record “The Saint and The Sinner” and will be hitting the road in support.
The band believes in its moniker, as they feel their name is more than just branding. The band aims to revive the rock and roll genre by infusing their deep Texas roots, their love of rock and roll, and marrying all parts of American music to create anthemic, vocal rock and roll.
